ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking an outstanding teacher of Science to deliver the Middle school science programme at our Caviglia campus in the south of Milan. For the right candidate there is also the possibility of the role of through school science coordinator. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and develop Middle School Science teaching and learning. * Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that maximise student progress and achievement. * Monitor attainment through effective assessment and targeted intervention. * Oversee laboratory operations, health and safety, and departmental resources. * Maintain departmental policies, documentation and risk assessments. * Contribute to curriculum development and whole?school improvement initiatives. * Engage in ongoing professional learning and collaborative departmental practice. * Monitor, record and report student progress in line with school policies. * Promote Science through extracurricular activities, trips, competitions and events. * Represent the department and school positively within the wider community. * Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by the Principal or Senior Deputy. * Hold an EU passport or valid Italian work permit (permesso di soggiorno). QUALIFICATIONS * Hold an EU passport or valid Italian work permit (permesso di soggiorno). * Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education (or PGCE / equivalent). * Established teaching experience in a range of educational settings.
