Overview

As Design Manager for a Milan-based data center project, you lead design coordination across disciplines to ensure on-time delivery. You will align with procurement, subcontracting, and estimating teams to forecast activities and manage requisitions for mechanical/piping works. You’ll oversee key multidisciplinary documents (P&IDs;, line lists, equipment lists) and drive effective multidisciplinary meetings to keep requisitions progressing. This role reports to the Project Manager and offers the chance to shape critical data center infrastructure in a collaborative, travel-ready setting.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and forecast activities across disciplines to meet the project schedule
- Collaborate with procurement, subcontracting, and estimating groups
- Prepare material and construction requisitions for mechanical/piping works




- Manage preparation of key multidisciplinary project documents (P&IDs;, line lists, equipment lists)
- Organize and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings to keep requisitions on track
- Report to the Project Manager on progress and risks

Qualifications

- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Master's preferred)
- Several years of experience as Project Engineer or Design Manager in engineering or production, preferably in data centers
- Very good knowledge of Italian and English
- Willingness to travel and work within multidisciplinary teams
- Nice-to-have: construction site experience
