Job Purpose
MSC Crociere is looking for an IT Environment Manager . Ensure the availability, stability, and governance of IT environments across the full release lifecycle, enabling controlled and timely software delivery across MSC Cruises’ business‑critical platforms.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure availability, stability, and readiness of all IT environments (DEV, TEST, PRE-PROD, PROD) supporting release and testing activities.
- Govern and facilitate the execution of release plans across environments, coordinating application and DevOps teams to ensure timely and controlled deployments.
- Manage and control application versions across environments, ensuring consistency between deployed versions, approved changes, and release artifacts.
- Enforce adherence to versioning and branching standards, including GitFlow, Semantic Versioning, and DevOps principles.
- Plan and coordinate environment usage, resolving conflicts and managing dependencies across concurrent releases and workstreams.
- Govern environment refresh activities, ensuring alignment with production‑like conditions and compliance with data and security policies.
- Support Agile and SAFe delivery teams by enabling efficient use of environments within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Monitor environment‑related KPIs and drive continuous improvement of release and environment management processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT environment management, release management, or a related infrastructure/delivery role.
- Experience in a complex, multi‑platform IT delivery environment; cruise, travel, or logistics industry is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, oral and written; Italian is a strong advantage.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab or equivalent); familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform or equivalent) and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow or equivalent).
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; ITIL Foundation certification is a strong advantage.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple environments and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles (SDLC) and infrastructure concepts (virtualisation, cloud, networking, storage).
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

What We Offer
Initial compensation will be determined based on candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
- Type of contract: Permanent
- Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
- Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
- Gross annual salary (RAL): between €45,000 – €52,000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
- Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on‑site working day
