We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting?edge machinery used in the production of power and telecommunications cables within our Investment & Engineering team, part of Operations. Responsibilities * Define electrical specifications for machinery and equipment used in cable manufacturing processes. * Design and develop solutions involving electrical systems, automation, power electronics, drives, and control systems. * Evaluate and select suppliers for electrical panels and automation solutions. * Support the installation, commissioning, and start?up of equipment in Prysmian plants worldwide. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, reliability, and operational efficiency. * Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and robust engineering solutions. Qualifications * Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics. * At least five to seven years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the industrial sector. * Training will be provided if necessary. * Experience in process automation in any industry, with a focus on the final product of the system. * Good English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking). * Strong communication, negotiation and team?working skills. * Ability to understand the context of the work environment and manage inter?departmental and multicultural relations. * Problem?solving skills: ability to identify potential problems, propose solutions and involve colleagues. * Availability to travel.
