Technical Business Development Manager - Personal Care

Optify Search are currently partnered with a leading global manufacturer of specialty ingredients, who are looking to hire a Technical Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of their specialty chemicals and personal care portfolio across Europe.
Responsibilities
Drive commercial growth across key strategic accounts, developing long-term partnerships and expanding market share
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning the business as a trusted partner ininnovation and formulation development
Identify and develop new business opportunities through consultative engagement aroundmarket trends, product performance, and customer needs
Work cross-functionally with internal teams includingR&D;, Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chainto deliver successful projects and aligned account strategies
Support customers ontechnical discussions related to formulations and ingredient applications
Represent the business atindustry events, trade shows, and technical seminarsto enhance market presence
Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning to support sustainable growth
Qualifications
Scientific Background:Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
Industry Experience:Proven experience within FMCG company with in depth technical and formulation experience.




Technical & Commercial Expertise:Strong understanding offormulations, ingredient functionality, and market dynamics, with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial opportunities
Professional Competencies:Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Commercially driven with a strategic mindset
Comfortable operating in a cross-functional, international environment
Highly autonomous, proactive, and results-oriented
