OverviewThe Application Engineer makes estimations, quotations and cost calculations for agents, customers, and prospects.
Consults internally with the Engineering Department concerning quotations, if needed.
Technical sizing and usage of simulation tools.
Communicates with sub-suppliers regarding technical questions and prices not readily available within the organization.Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities IncludeCreate and calculate estimations, quotations, and revisions according to customer inquiries and needsAnswer technical inquiries by customers on estimations, quotations, and projectsAble to read and understand electrical heat exchanger and control panel specificationsEnsure accurate estimation, quotation, and project data in Thermon ERP system, Thermon CPQ system and other relevant (engineering) systemsEnsure accurate estimation, quotation, and project data by collecting information from sub-suppliers,
when information is not readily available in the companyCommunicate effectively with customersMaintain files and accurately document all dataCompile budgetary or detailed calculations and transfer these into competitive (total lowest cost of ownership) proposals, using our pricelist structureSupport the engineering department in clarifying design issues related to the transfer from offer to detail designKey Characteristics, Competencies and SkillsStrong organisational, analytical and commercial skillsStructured and well-organized approachStrong written & oral communication and negotiation skillsUnderstand complex technical matters related to process heating; demonstrated understanding of technology, i.E. complexities of products and costsWorking knowledge of CRM, MS office and ERP systemsEnthusiastic, flexible and can work on own initiativeExperience of business to business within technical markets and industries would be an assetQualificationsA locally respected degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience>2 years relevant work experienceSalary: $***** per year#J-*****-Ljbffr
