The Role We’re looking for a Business Operations Associate to join the COO Office, reporting directly to our COO.
Your work will span business operations, finance, recruiting, people processes, contracts, grants, company planning, and internal workflows.
In the same week, you might coordinate candidates and external advisors, check invoices and contracts, prepare an OKR meeting, support a strategic project, or automate a recurring process.
Support the COO on company-wide priorities and cross-functional projects.
Support finance, recruiting, People Operations, contracts, grants, and public procurement.
Help manage company OKRs, planning cycles, internal meetings, and retreats.
Identify inefficient or unclear processes and turn them into simple, repeatable workflows.
Use AI, no-code tools, and automations to reduce manual work.
Take ownership of new or urgent operational problems and drive them to completion.
You have 2–4 years of experience , ideally in an early-stage startup as a Founder Associate, Business Operations Associate, Operations Specialist, or in another cross-functional role.
You hold a degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business Administration , or a related discipline.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you don’t just identify problems or follow instructions—you actively find and implement solutions.
You understand startup life: priorities change, responsibilities evolve, and no task is beneath you when it helps the company move forward.
You are AI-savvy and regularly use AI tools for research, analysis, productivity, or automation.
You are confident with Excel or Google Sheets and communicate fluently in Italian and English.
Experience with Notion, n8n, Zapier, or similar tools.
Experience working directly with founders or senior leadership.
Familiarity with startup finance, recruiting, contracts,
grants, or public procurement.
Full-time employment
~ 28k–€35k , depending on experience
~ Performance premio and access to the Syllotips Stock Option Plan
~85% remote work from the EU , with regular monthly three-day sessions in Rome
