IT Business Analyst Freelance Senior

We are looking for a senior freelance IT Business Analyst to work permanently with Synextya (approx. 100hrs/month). You will be in charge of analysing complex digital infrastructures, mapping business processes and needs, supporting the technical team in structuring tasks and managing the project flow according to the Agile methodology. You will support Synextya in the digital transformation of our clients, acting as a bridge between business needs and the technical team. You will identify critical issues, translate business visions into functional requirements, support technical development and ensure delivery aligned to objectives.
Main Duties
- Analysis of digital infrastructures and mapping of business processes (workflows, user journeys)
- Collection and formalisation of functional and non‑functional requirements, user stories, use cases, process diagrams
- Preparation of technical and functional documentation for development teams, customers and stakeholders
- Facilitation between non‑technical users and tech teams, agile governance with tools such as Trello and similar management tools
- Support for business case definition, digital roadmap, risk assessment and change adoption strategies
- UAT testing, acceptance case drafting, preliminary functional verification and performance monitoring
Requirements
- Proven experience as Business Analyst or Digital Consultant in IT (min. 3 years)
- Fluent communication in Italian and English
- High technical documentation skills,
writing of use cases, presentation of reports, requirements, diagrams
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools
- Advanced skills in data analysis, process modelling, stakeholder management
- High technical and functional writing skills
- Ability to facilitate dialogue between non‑technical stakeholders and the development team
- High communication soft skills, communication, synthesis and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Technical background (ex‑developer or basic knowledge of software languages and architectures)
- Certifications as Scrum Developer or related to the field
- Experience in SME / industry / digital services
- Previous xysqume experience in software houses, system integrators or digital agencies
- Competence in UI/UX or experience in designing digital platforms
- Knowledge of prototyping tools (e.g. Miro)
