About the Role

As a Data Infrastructure Engineer at Nivara, you will help design and scale the core data systems that power our engineering, product, and alignment teams. Your work will ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our infrastructure — from data warehouses and batch compute to streaming and orchestration systems — laying the foundations for Nivara’s growth and innovation.

What Success Looks Like

- Build and maintain robust, secure, and scalable data infrastructure across distributed compute, orchestration, and storage.

- Empower engineering teams with high-quality data tooling, driving productivity and efficiency.

- Collaborate across teams to deliver the foundations for new features, aligned with Hupry’s mission and technological goals.

What You Will Do

-

- Architect and scale Kubernetes services, manage streaming platforms (Kafka), and resolve distributed systems challenges.

- Develop low-latency data retrieval systems (e.g., image vectors)



using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern SRE practices.

- Ensure the platform scales reliably to support Nivara’s growth.

- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents, maintaining the reliability of the systems we build.

What Sets You Up for Success

- 3+ years in data or infrastructure engineering with a focus on scalability and reliability.

- Expertise in Spark, Python, Terraform, Kafka, and familiarity with Azure EventHub or Vector DBs.

- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

- Collaborative mindset, with a drive to share knowledge and learn continuously.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on experience scaling Kubernetes services and debugging Kafka or similar streaming systems.

- Interest in the ethical implications of AI and commitment to building responsible, impactful technology.
