ph3Role Overview /h3 pThe Testing Manager will be responsible for leading all electrical testing, energisation, and system validation activities across a large-scale data centre project. /p pThe successful candidate will manage a team of Testing Supervisors and Test Engineers while working closely with the Commissioning Manager, Authorised Persons (APs), contractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure testing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. /p pThis is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, planning capability, and stakeholder management skills. /p pbReports To: /b Project Manager /p pbDirect Reports: /b Testing Supervisors, Test Engineers /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Testing Energisation Management /h3 ul liLead all electrical dead testing, live testing, and energisation activities. /li liCoordinate testing activities in conjunction with the Authorised Person (AP) team. /li liManage testing schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies. /li liEnsure all testing activities are completed safely and in accordance with approved procedures. /li liSupport system energisation, integrated testing, and project handover activities. /li /ul h3Team Leadership /h3 ul liManage and mentor Testing Supervisors and Test Engineers. /li liAllocate resources effectively to meet project milestones. /li liDrive a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellence. /li liConduct regular progress reviews and performance discussions.
/li /ul h3Technical Oversight /h3 ul liReview and approve testing procedures, method statements, test packs, and commissioning documentation. /li liVerify testing results and ensure defects are identified, tracked, and resolved. /li liEnsure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. /li liSupport troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during testing and energisation. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liAct as the primary point of contact for testing activities with clients and project stakeholders. /li liCoordinate with contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and project management personnel. /li liAttend project meetings and provide regular progress updates. /li liMaintain strong working relationships with client representatives and delivery teams. /li /ul h3Health, Safety Quality /h3 ul liPromote and enforce all site health, safety, and environmental requirements. /li liEnsure compliance with electrical safety rules and safe systems of work. /li liParticipate in risk assessments and permit-to-work processes where required. /li liDrive quality assurance and ensure all testing records are accurately maintained.
/li /ul h3Essential Requirements /h3 ul liProven experience managing electrical testing activities on large-scale data centre, mission-critical, power generation, or industrial projects. /li liStrong knowledge of MV and LV electrical distribution systems. /li liExperience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and critical infrastructure. /li liDemonstrable experience managing energisation programmes and electrical testing teams. /li liStrong client-facing and stakeholder management skills. /li liExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational abilities. /li liRecognised Electrical Testing qualification. /li liRight to work within the European Union. /li /ul h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liPrevious hyperscale data centre experience. /li liIPAF /li liHV/LV Authorised Pers City Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or Electrical Testing Verification of Electrical Installations (Ireland) essential. /li liHNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is desirable. /li liKnowledge of commissioning and integrated systems testing processes. /li liExperience working within fast-paced, live project environments. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liOpportunity to work on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre projects. /li liCompetitive salary and benefits package. /li liLong-term project opportunities and career progression. /li liExposure to cutting-edge mission-critical infrastructure. /li liCollaborative and professional working environment. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
