Purpose of the position:

as Project Technical Manager, you will respond to the Head of SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURES ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES and be part of the Sustainable Infrastructure Business line with the aim of ensuring the execution of multidisciplinary engineering activities specifically related to subways and stations in compliance with technical and contractual requirements, while meeting the project’s quality and HSE requirements and collaborating with the other members of the project team.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

Bid Phase

- Analyze tender and contractual documents in order to define the scope of work, contributing to the preparation of the schedule, identifying project requirements and constraints, including any potential design optimizations;
- Support the tendering team in the preparation of the Project Execution Plan and the Project Organization Charts;
- Support the tendering team in the preparation of the cost estimate, including the quantity estimation, for internal and external engineering services, including the preparation of the Project Mobilization Plan during the execution phase, based on the complexity of the project and in line with the guidance of the Tendering Manager.

Execution Phase

- Coordinate engineering activities, both those carried out internally and those assigned to external designers, whether using a BIM workflow or a traditional one;




- Coordinate interface activities with the other units included in the project organization, such as project management, procurement (preparation of technical specifications for purchase requests, preparation of technical evaluations, and authorization of suppliers’ progress payments), construction, and commissioning, up to participation in project close-out activities, including the preparation of the close-out report;
- Manage contracts with external suppliers until completion of the services, monitoring costs, ensuring compliance with activity schedules, and preparing periodic reports on the status and critical issues of ongoing engineering activities;
- Interface with the Client’s corresponding technical representative, ensuring the preparation of the Coordination and Communication Procedure. Interface activities include managing the Client’s review reports and ensuring the preparation of responses within contractual timeframes;
- Participate in the preparation of the project risk management plan, risk assessment and risk response activities, and the updating of the risk register.

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor's degree in: Civil Engineering (Transportation, Structural or Underground Engineering).

Experience: at least 8 years as a Technical Manager, responsible for the multidisciplinary coordination of design activities in "Design & Build" projects for transport infrastructure. The candidate must have a proven track record for subway and station projects.

Languages: Full professional proficiency, both written and spoken, in English

Technical & Managerial Skills:



sound knowledge of the typical disciplines of infrastructure engineering (e.g., surveying, geology/geotechnics, structures, and railway/road systems). Proven expertise in technical coordination, resource planning, and people management.
