Basic Function
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Sustainability Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT team and support business stakeholders in Corporate Sustainability, ESG Reporting, Finance ESG Controlling and Carbon Management initiatives in advancing our corporate sustainability goals. This is a great opportunity for someone to lead and facilitate bringing the appropriate technology, process, and solutions together.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of ESG Reporting and Carbon Management strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their ESG Reporting and Carbon Management business needs and translate them into requirements for digital enablement solutions.
- Leverage expertise in ESG Reporting software to implement, configure, and optimize relevant tools.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks related to ESG reporting, including CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and other regional or industry-specific standards.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders including the ESG controllership to advance our data governance framework around data collection, verification, and assurance of ESG metrics and KPIs.
- Serve as a lead in the development and implementation of an ESG data management system that will serve as a repository for reliable, auditable ESG data for various sustainability topics; lead in efforts to streamline the collection, storage, and verification of ESG data.
- Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards (e.g., ISSB, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), and disclosure requirements related to ESG reporting.
- Lead innovative technology solutions development and implementation for renewable energy technologies and emerging sustainability trends such as carbon capture, carbon management, etc.
- Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of Carbon Management initiatives.
- Leverage expertise in Carbon Management software to implement, configure, and optimize relevant tools.
- Conduct thorough data analysis related to carbon emissions, environmental impact, and other sustainability metrics.
- Interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Sustainability, MIS, Computer Science or related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Carbon Management and/or ESG Reporting roles.
- Experience with non-financial reporting and ESG standards and reporting frameworks and ratings, including CSRD, SASB, TCFD, Sustainability Development Goals, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics and GRI.
- Experience and demonstrable understanding of end-to-end business process in Carbon Management.
- Proven experience in implementing ESG Reporting software and Carbon Management software.
- Experience with GHG carbon accounting, emissions reduction strategies, renewable energy strategies, RECs and carbon offsets.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading projects in a global, diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to apply strong communication skills to resolve conflict professionally and routinely interact in cross-functional groups.
