ph3Role Overview /h3 pArea Manager – Operations at Amazon. This role ensures the smooth operation of a fulfillment center, leading a team that upholds safety, efficiency, and high quality while driving productivity through continuous improvement projects. /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liCreate, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing. /li liAnalyse and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level. /li liOversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase customer service quality within your area of responsibility. /li liAnalyse shift performance against business objectives and put in place actions to improve operational excellence. /li liWork collaboratively with management‑level colleagues to standardise shift practices. /li /ul h3A Day in the Life /h3 pYou’ll work a shift at one of our sites, ensuring it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. In addition, you’ll manage routine team activities, oversee process improvements, and respond to wide‑scale operational contingency tasks while serving as a role model and mentor to new managers. /p h3About the Team /h3 pCustomer Fulfilment (CF) is Amazon’s starting point for order fulfilment. CF has grown into a global team handling more than 1.5 million orders each day, supporting Amazon’s fast‑paced operations network. Working in the fulfillment centers means being part of the first mile of the Amazon package journey, managing dynamic inventory and ensuring speedy deliveries around the clock. /p h3Salary and Benefits /h3 pITALY, Passo Corese – EUR 46,000 gross annually (full‑time).
The position is classified at level 1 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences, and experience. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary, level, or sign‑on payment, and may include a restricted stock unit scheme. In addition to statutory benefits and those applicable to the relevant collective agreement (CCNL Logistica, Trasporto Merci e Spedizione), company‑supplementary benefits may apply. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree. /li liAdvanced proficiency in verbal and written Italian (CEFR C1). /li liRelevant experience in people management. /li liRelevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership. /li liRelevant experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions. /li liAdvanced proficiency in verbal and written English (CEFR C1). /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liKnowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level. /li liExperience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques. /li liExperience working in another logistics environment. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
