Position: Bilingual Italian STEM Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $38–$43/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 3–6 months
Commitment: 20+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and optimize STEM-based prompts in Italian and/or English with scientifically accurate instructions.
- Define and document evaluation standards for STEM contexts with comprehensive rubrics.
- Conduct model testing and grading to assess outputs for scientific accuracy and reasoning quality.
- Support benchmarking and quality assurance to ensure consistency in Italian-language benchmarks.
- Collaborate in QA review processes to maintain scientific standards and reliability.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Native-level fluency in Italian (written), specifically native to Italy or Italian-speaking Switzerland.
- Strong reading and writing proficiency in English.
- BS or BA in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Familiarity with undergraduate-level biology, physics, or chemistry topics.
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- 2+ years of experience in teaching, research, or an applied STEM discipline.
- Experience working with Italian or Swiss secondary/university STEM curricula.
