Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Aircraft Technician for our NAS Sigonella Forward Operating Location. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Perform aircraft maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various air vehicle systems
- Recommend corrective actions and resolve problems using technical publications and analytic techniques
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution in minimum time
- Install and troubleshoot aircraft systems wiring in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions
- Analyze and evaluate products and related performance
- Fabricate, install and tests installation,
routing, clamping and wiring harnesses
- Read wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Maintain applicable customer required records, manuals, and inspection forms
- Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications
- Review and collaborate with engineering for systems modernization projects
- and provide On-the-Job Training and platform instruction to customer when required.
- Position will be in direct support of customer's Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and providing mechanical and technical assistance to include daily maintenance activities, preparing and launching UAVs for operational sorties.
This position will be a ONE YEAR expatriate opportunity, with no guarantee of extension at this time. This position will include Flight Arrangement(s), Household Good Shipment, HOLA, COLA and other incentives for working this assignment overseas.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma/GED and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
Must have an active Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have at least 2 years experience reading Aircraft blueprints and Wiring Diagrams
This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping,
kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces
Primary Level Salary Range: $71,900.00 - $119,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary premio in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
