Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior OCS Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy .

Accountabilities
- Identification and resolution of the Contact line interfaces with the main subsystems (E.g. Signaling, CW, Track work etc.).
- Guarantee that the delivery of every system is achieved in compliance with engineering guidelines, quality standards, timing and cost constraints
- Ensure the Verification activities on Contact line or third rail documents, according to the V&V; Plan
- Interface with the Commissioning Manager to plan test and coordinate of operational activities on site according to schedule
- Perform the test and issue the test report,
issue non compliances according to quality procedures and purpose remedy actions.
- Support capitalization and sharing of knowledge related to the specific Contact line (e.g. best practice, lesson learned,)
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Design and Commissioning of the Contact Line in order to achieve the requirements in terms of time, quality and cost imposed by the different contracts either for the Tender and Backlog Projects.
- Completion of activity budget with respect to the planned one in the project
- Reduction of design releases issued with respect to previous projects
- Reduction of supplier costs due to alternative design with respect to the previous year
- From 5 up to 10 years of engineering expertise.
Education/Qualifications
Electrical or Civil (Transport) Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
