ppbHPC System and/or Network Administrator /b /ppCineca Consorzio Interuniversitario opens a recruitment process for three (3) qualified professional positions for its HPC Department.
/ppCINECA HPC Department provides the Italian and European scientific community with cutting-edge high-performance computing resources, together with data processing, data management and data preservation systems and tools, specialized scientific technical skills and technology transfer, with the aim of maintaining and supporting the competitiveness of public and private research.
CINECA main supercomputing infrastructures are ranked in the highest positions of the "Top500": - the most powerful supercomputers world index.
/ppCINECA actively contributes to key national and European initiatives in High Performance Computing and data management infrastructure and development, playing a pivotal role as a leading partner for primary project initiatives.

/ph3The Role /h3pCINECA is looking for highly motivated people to be included in its HPC Systems, Networks and Storage Team.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in technology with a strong orientation towards problem solving, achieving results and teamwork.
/ppThe selected candidates will be assigned to teams involved in the following activities: /pulliInstallation, configuration, optimization and management of Cineca high performance,



quantum and AI computers and its storage and networks; /liliOptimization and management of Cineca's partners high performance and AI computers and its storage and networks.
/li /ulh3The ideal candidate has: /h3ulliBachelor's or Master's Degree in technical, scientific or computational sciences; also graduating students may be considered; /liliExperience in linux systems management and/or networks management /liliKnowledge of written and spoken English; /li /ulh3The following skills are also required: /h3ulliStrong knowledge of linux operating system; /liliNetwork design and optimization experience; /liliStrong understanding of IT security principles; /liliProficiency in scripting languages for system administration, /liliHigh-performance filesystem and network administration; /liliCommunication and time management skills; /liliKnowledge of the Italian language; /liliMasters or specific specializations in systems management.
/li /ulpThe resource will be classified according to the reference contract National Collective Agreement of Tertiary, Distribution and Services Companies (CCNL of Tertiary, Distribution and Services Companies) starting from the 3rd level.
The gross annual salary for the position is between €****** and €****** /ppThe place of work is in Casalecchio di Reno (BO), Italy.
Other possible places of work include Rome, Milan and Naples depending on the candidate's skills.
