We are looking for The Engineering Supervisor who can contribute to the growth of the company in the wiring department.
/ppbr / /ppThe Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for: /ppbr / /pp - To manage the department personnel during their design activities.
/pp - Ensuring that specifications and deadlines are met /pp - Identifying potential inefficiencies and suggesting possible improvements /pp - Implementing the procedures applicable to the Department /pp - Participating in the process of selecting and on-boarding new coworkers /pp - To control and monitor the loading and flow of the work in the Design Engineering Department.
/pp - To ensure appropriate checks are carried out on all designs prior to final release to customers or production.
/pp - To ensure that the department works within the guidelines of the company quality procedures.
/pp - To liaise with customers and all other departments providing technical assistance and advice required.
/pp - Identify appropriate KPI's for the department and individuals.
/pp - To work efficiently and conscientiously with all personnel and to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
/pp - To identify the training needs of the staff and make recommendations for appropriate training/development.
/pp - Provide effective engineering material science support into both the design and engineering function and the production process environments /pp - Any other reasonable engineering activity or investigation or design request /pp - To become familiar with the detailed procedures associated with design processes outlined in the company procedures /pp - To back up any information that is on any local drives and ensure that any project and business data is stored on an appropriate central server /pp - To record and keep all relevant emails (sent or received) in a file structure that can be easily understood by a third party /pp - Check in and record any drawing/part data in the appropriate system and maintain the use of the correct part numbering systems.
/pp - To use any change control system that is appropriate to the work /pp - To maintain both design and draft standards to any appropriate national or international system and to always work within the companies' approvals as appropriate.
/pp - All the time strive to maintain a current knowledge of all relevant engineering technologies application and manufacturing process pertinent to all the product range.
/pp - To strive to identify, and report on, any value-added improvement to the design and production processes.
/pp - To liaise with and provide support to all manufacturing departments, including the shop floor, in the implementation and commissioning of any product.
This shall include direct assembly commissioning and or test / inspection work as required and the provision of jig tools and fixtures.
/pp - To attend as directed any appropriate vocational training, trade shows or other public events.
/pp - To directly support the sales, purchasing or operations staff, as required, in their relations with customers and or suppliers.
(this may include occasional travel).
/ppbr / /ppbr / /ppstrongTraining, experience and skills /strong /ppbr / /pp - Technical bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar /pp - 15 years of experience in a relevant engineering environment.
/pp - 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role /pp - Excellence in the use of personal computer and MS Office /pp - Ability to draft reports and technical documents /pp - Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks /pp - Excellent communication skills /pp - Ability to manage technical projects for product improvement and development of new products /pp - Knowledge of the English language at C1 level minimum /p
