/li /ulp Join Schindler as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) /pp We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our RD Mechanical Engineering team.
/pp In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, responsible for the design, development and validation of mechanical solutions for elevator systems and components.
/pp You will drive engineering activities from concept through release, provide technical guidance to the team and ensure that solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, safety and cost efficiency.
/pp You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and support the growth of junior engineers through mentoring, knowledge sharing and technical coaching.
/pp Location: Milan, Lombardy, Italy (Hybrid: 1 day/week working from home) /pp Company: Schindler Group /pp Your Responsibilities /pp As a Senior Mechanical Engineer,
you will contribute to the development and industrialization of innovative mechanical solutions for elevator products.
/pp Your responsibilities include: /pulli Leading the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for elevator systems, ensuring compliance with technical, safety and quality requirements /lili Creating and reviewing 3D models, drawings and engineering documentation using PTC Creo and managing product data within Windchill /lili Driving technical decision-making and providing engineering guidance across development projects and design reviews /lili Performing engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and technical validations to ensure robust and reliable solutions /lili Supporting product verification, prototyping and testing activities, analyzing results and implementing corrective actions when required /lili Ensuring design-to-cost, manufacturability, maintainability and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle /lili Coordinating with cross-functional teams including RD, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain /lili Acting as a technical mentor for junior engineers, supporting their development and promoting engineering excellence within the team /li /ulp What You Bring (Required Qualifications) /pulli Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering /lili Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development within industrial engineering environments /lili Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo for 3D modeling,
assemblies and detailed engineering design /lili Strong experience with Windchill and engineering documentation/release processes /lili Proven experience in technical leadership, coordination of engineering activities and mentoring of less experienced engineers /lili Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes /lili Experience performing engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and technical problem-solving /lili Ability to work effectively within international and cross-functional teams /lili Strong communication, decision-making and stakeholder management skills /lili High level of self-motivation, accountability and result orientation /lili English — Medium to Advanced /li /ulp Qualifications That Will Strengthen Your Profile (Nice to Have) /pulli Experience in the elevator, escalator or vertical transportation industry /lili Experience in the design and development of elevator mechanical components /lili Familiarity with validation testing, FEM analysis and product verification activities /lili Experience supporting industrialization and manufacturing optimization initiatives /lili German language skills /lili Experience working within global RD organizations and international product development projects /li /ulp Ready to Elevate Your Career?
