Overview:

We are seeking TWO skilled Wireless Systems and Embedded Software Engineers to join our team, focusing primarily on advanced WiFi and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to products developed by major vendors, including WiFi routers and mesh systems, as well as UWB real-time location systems. The successful candidate will work across system design, algorithm development, embedded software, integration, and validation of next- generation smart antenna and wireless systems, improving coverage, performance, reliability, and positioning accuracy.

Job Location:

Legnaro (Padua), Italy - with flexibility for partial remote work;

Key Responsibilities:

- Smart Antenna Systems Design & Development:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop smart antenna and wireless systems for WiFi (WiFi 7 and WiFi 8) and UWB.
- Work with hardware engineers to integrate antenna systems into communication platforms, ensuring seamless operation and system compatibility.

- Algorithm Development:

- Develop and optimize algorithms for smart antenna control, wireless link optimization, and UWB ranging and angle-of-arrival processing to improve coverage, reliability, throughput, and positioning accuracy.
- Implement, simulate, and test algorithms using Python, embedded platforms, and commercial products from major vendors.

- Software Development & Integration:

- Design and develop embedded software for smart antenna control and UWB positioning systems.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and high-performance C code for real-time embedded wireless systems.





- Performance Optimization & Testing:

-Design and conduct system validation and performance testing for WiFi and UWB solutions.

-Debug and troubleshoot issues involving algorithms, embedded software, RF behavior, system integration, and test setups.

-Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure optimal performance of the overall system.

- Collaboration & Technical Contribution:

- Work closely with RF engineers, hardware designers, and test engineers to integrate solutions into WiFi routers and mesh systems and UWB anchors and tags.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including system architectures, interface specifications, integration guides, and documentation.
- Stay up to date with developments in WiFi standards, UWB positioning technologies, and embedded systems.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
- Experience:

- 2 years of experience in wireless communication systems.
- Experience developing, integrating, or validating software for wireless communication or positioning systems, such as WiFi, UWB, or 5G.

Technical Skills:





-Familiarity with wireless communication protocols, particularly WiFi (IEEE 802.11); knowledge of UWB (IEEE 802.15.4/4z), ranging, or angle-of-arrival techniques is a strong plus.

-Proficiency in C and Python; familiarity with embedded Linux, debugging tools, and version-control workflows is desirable.

-Knowledge of signal processing, digital communications, RF systems, and wireless performance testing.

-Experience in hardware-software co-design, system integration, or real-time embedded systems.
