Freelance AI Engineer (Italian Speaking) | Fully Remote | 6-Month Contract + Extension Location: Fully Remote (Italy) Contract: Freelance Duration: 6 months initial contract with strong possibility of extension Daily Rate: Negotiable Key Responsibilities: * Design, develop and deploy end-to-end AI solutions for enterprise clients. * Build intelligent applications using Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI technologies. * Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python. * Design and implement microservices-based architectures for AI applications. * Integrate AI models with enterprise systems and cloud environments. * Collaborate with software engineers, architects and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI solutions. * Optimise, test and continuously improve AI applications for performance and scalability. * Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and contribute new ideas to the wider engineering team. Essential Skills & Experience: * 2+ years commercial experience as an AI Engineer. * Strong commercial experience developing AI solutions using Python. * Hands-on experience with Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI). * Experience designing and delivering end-to-end AI applications.
* Strong understanding of AI architecture, APIs and system integrations. * Experience designing and developing microservices-based applications. * Experience working with at least one major cloud platform, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is highly desirable. * Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally supported by a Computer Science or Software Engineering background. * Fluent Italian and English. Nice to Have: * Experience as a Full Stack AI Engineer, working across the complete AI solution lifecycle. * Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents and multi-agent systems. * Cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Databricks. * Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. * Experience working within Agile development teams. * Curious, proactive and eager to learn new technologies and AI frameworks. ?
