Job Title: Senior Investment Analyst
Report To: Country Director, Italy
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- +2 year in Investment or Financing
- Obtained at least a 2:1 Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, in Finance or Engineering
- Renewable Energy focused background
- Economics or Business related experience
- Financial & Analytical ability
- Clear & concise written & verbal communication
- Time management
- Organised
- Knowledge of Investment lifecycle, Renewable energy and Financial modelling
- Willing to travel extensively
- Fluent in English and Italian level, Spanish will be considered an advantage
Role Purpose:
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our investment team. It’s an exciting time for Bluefield, as we are exploring new markets and our investment team is growing. The role will involve working with senior colleagues across all stages of the investment lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial modelling and analysis
- Develop, manage and analyse financial models to assess greenfield and operational solar projects and portfolios across different geographies (predominantly in Europe);
- Undertake quarterly, semi-annual and annual valuations of fund portfolios; and
- Contribute to and eventually manage and review fund valuation models.
Investment support
- Support with the preparation and submission of non-binding and confirmatory offers on portfolios;
- Assist with due diligence on M&A; activities;
- Support the review and negotiation of project documentation related to investment opportunities, such as share purchase agreements, power purchase agreements, EPCs and operations and maintenance (O&M;) contracts; and
- Contribute to assessing the ongoing performance of investments.
Business development
- Support analysis of optimisation opportunities for the existing portfolio;
- Follow and report on sector news and industry developments;
- Investigate and research new markets for Bluefield;
- Analyse and report on emerging technologies such as storage; and
- Carry out competitor analysis.
Job Location:
Rome with travel to the Italian and other offices or locations as required. Milan as a less preferred alternative can be considered.
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday office hours with options for flexible working You may occasionally be required to stay away overnight for periods of time to facilitate meetings, conferences and group duties.
