The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential. /p h3Role Principles /h3 ul liAct with integrity, always upholding the highest professional and ethical standards. /li liDrive innovation and change to continuously improve ways of working and outcomes. /li liPursue operational excellence, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. /li liCollaborate inclusively, building strong partnerships to achieve shared goals. /li liMaintain a customer‑focused approach, prioritising the needs of internal and external stakeholders. /li liChampion sustainability by embedding responsible and environmentally conscious practices into everyday work. /li /ul h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pRole specific responsibilities: /p ul liConduct Wind Tunnel realism studies, investigating the aerodynamic impact of factors such as WT tyres, aeroelasticity, model fidelity, and testing methodologies to improve WT testing representativeness and predictive accuracy. /li liDefine, maintain, and develop Wind Tunnel maps and performance metrics, ensuring aerodynamic testing delivers meaningful information for development decisions, performance evaluation, and correlation activities. /li liDefine, execute and analyse dedicated Wind Tunnel and bench experiments, translating results into actionable insights for aerodynamic development, performance assessment, and testing strategy. /li liDrive the application and advancement of aerodynamic measurement techniques, including pressure measurements, flow-field diagnostics, and other experimental methods to improve aerodynamic understanding. /li liPerform correlation studies across Wind Tunnel, Track, CFD, and benches, identifying discrepancies, improving testing realism, and establishing robust correlation metrics. /li liBuild and maintain models, analysis routines, and software tools, ensuring compliance with company standards for software quality, model development, documentation, and maintainability. /li liCollaborate closely with Aero Development, Aero Performance,

Focus on aerodynamics / fluid dynamics is preferred. /li liPhD and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in Formula 1 is preferred. /li /ul pResilience Composure: /p ul liMaintains calm and focus in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments. /li liAble to handle setbacks and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. /li /ul pIntegrity Discretion: /p ul liTrusted to manage confidential information and sensitive team matters. /li liUpholds the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. /li /ul pTeam‑Oriented: /p ul liCollaborative mindset with a commitment to team cohesion and shared success. /li liWillingness to mentor and develop talent within the organisation. /li /ul pAdaptability Flexibility: /p ul liComfortable with extensive travel and irregular working hours, including weekends and race days. /li liOpen to innovation and continuous improvement in processes and culture. /li /ul h3Equipment and Applications /h3 ul liProficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering tools. /li liProficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) for data processing, data analysis, automation, or tool development, including packages for ML/AI/Data Processing /li liKnowledge of data acquisition systems and telemetry analysis tools /li liFamiliarity with CFD and CAD software (e.g., CATIA/3DX). /li liHave an excellent understanding of English language. /li liStrong understanding of aerodynamics and fluid dynamics /li liSolid knowledge of mathematical modelling, machine learning and statistics principles /li /ul h3Physical Demands /h3 h3Extended Hours Flexibility /h3 ul liMany roles require working evenings, weekends, and public holidays, particularly during race season or critical development phases.
