People & Culture Manager

Our People & Culture team in Italy supports approximately 265 employees across Konecranes’ legal entities, business areas, and functions.
Based at our Agrate Brianza office, you will play a key role in shaping and developing local People & Culture operations while ensuring an excellent employee experience and high levels of engagement.
As the People & Culture Manager for Italy, you will partner closely with business leaders across the organisation, supporting business success and driving change initiatives both within the organisation and the People & Culture function.
You will work with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior business and functional leaders in Italy, while leading a local People & Culture team of two professionals. In addition, you will collaborate closely with BA/BU/Function People & Culture leaders and our Global People & Culture Shared Services teams to ensure aligned and effective people practices.
This role reports to the People & Culture Manager, EMEA South Cluster.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of global and business-specific people strategies in Italy.
- Partner with business leaders and Managing Directors to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to all people-related matters.
- Inspire, coach, and develop your P&C; team, promoting an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Lead in risk management of employee relations.
- Act as internal advisor with respect to labour legislation, including contractual matters as well as the applicable collective bargains.
- Lead the day-to-day activity Works Councils related.
- Oversee the delivery of P&C; services throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Drive and support people-related programmes, change initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Utilise data, metrics, and KPIs to inform decision-making and enhance operations.
- Ensure compliance with local employment regulations and alignment with Konecranes’ global standards.
About You
- Authentic, approachable, and inclusive leader with a global mindset.
- At least 10 years’ progressive HR experience (Manager/Generalist/Consultant), ideally in an international, matrixed environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Italy employment regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop teams in complex, fast-paced settings.
- Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advocate for digitalisation and continuous improvement in HR practices.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure and with ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources or a related field.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
