Experteer OverviewAs a Senior Structural Engineer in Arup’s Milan Civil Structures team, you will lead and own complex infrastructure design packages, including underground structures and stations, delivering safe, sustainable outcomes. You will perform advanced analyses across design stages, shape integrated solutions with multidisciplinaries, and advance digital delivery with BIM. You mentor junior engineers and collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure high-quality results. This role offers impact on transportation projects and the chance to work within a global, values-driven firm.

Responsibilities

- Lead structural design packages for complex infrastructure projects, including underground structures, shafts, stations, and platforms
- Perform advanced structural analyses and produce calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports across design stages
- Develop integrated engineering solutions with clients and multidisciplinary teams focusing on constructability, safety, and performance
- Drive digital delivery by applying BIM workflows and coordinating structural models with other disciplines




- Mentor and develop junior engineers to grow team capability in infrastructure structural engineering
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to ensure timely, high-quality delivery

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Typically 6+ years of structural design experience on medium to large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in structural modelling/analysis software (Sofistik, GSA, MIDAS) and BIM tools
- Experience applying local/international transportation design codes (NTC2018, Eurocode, AASHTO) and seismic design codes
- Strong workload management and ability to contribute in multidisciplinary teams
- Professional proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken)
