Senior Mechanical Designer – R&D; Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join an established R&D; team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in developing new products, improving existing designs and supporting projects through to production.
Main Responsibilities
Design complex mechanical components, assemblies and products.
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
Contribute to new product concepts and technical development projects.
Assess manufacturability and continuously improve design solutions.
Support industrialisation and work closely with production teams.
Coordinate projects across engineering, manufacturing and other stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
Engineering degree with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience,



or a technical qualification with at least 4–5 years of experience.
Experience designing complex mechanical products, ideally within aerospace, automotive, transportation or another regulated manufacturing environment.
Advanced proficiency with a leading 3D CAD package.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, detailed technical drawings and design for manufacture.
Good problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
Ability to support and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Preferred Skills
Experience with finite element analysis and PDM systems.
Good technical English.
Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
