Unwind at AQVAM Spa or indulge in glamour at Beppe d'Elia's Hair Jewelry Salon.Report to: Director of EngineeringJob Title: Engineering ManagerThe Engineering Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all hotel maintenance activities, ensuring the optimal functioning of systems, equipment, and infrastructure, in full compliance with Park Hyatt standards, safety regulations, and the expectations of an international luxury clientele.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical and Operational ManagementPlan, coordinate, and supervise routine, extraordinary, and preventive maintenance activities across the hotelEnsure the operational efficiency of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems,
and building management systemsRespond promptly to critical failures to minimize impact on guest experience and hotel operationsManage maintenance issues to guarantee continuous hotel efficiency, in coordination with the Engineering SupervisorConduct periodic visual inspections (daily or weekly) to verify compliance with standards, schedules, and hotel activitiesSupervise the work carried out by external contractors on-siteDevelop and oversee projects defined by management, supporting the Director of EngineeringLeadership and People ManagementManage, coordinate, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring high levels of competence, motivation, and performanceOrganize work shifts, on-call schedules, and ongoing technical trainingParticipate in daily departmental briefings ("handover") to ensure effective communicationPromote a culture of safety, quality, and attention to detailLuxury Standards and Guest ExperienceCollaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B;, and other hotel departments to ensure impeccable and responsive service to guest needsEnsure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the aesthetic and functional standards of the Park Hyatt brandHandle VIP guest requests or feedback with discretion and professionalismCompliance, Safety, and SustainabilityEnsure full compliance with all applicable regulations regarding safety, health,
environment, and energy efficiencyCoordinate inspections, technical audits, and controls by external authoritiesImplement sustainability initiatives, energy-saving measures, and improvements to environmental impactVerify and supervise safety aspects related to external contractors, supporting the Director of Engineering in activities related to contract managementBudget and SuppliersPrepare and manage the maintenance and CAPEX budget, supporting the Director of Engineering and Engineering DepartmentSelect, negotiate, xrdztoy and oversee external suppliers and contractors in coordination with the Director of Engineering and Procurement Office, with particular attention to scheduling their activitiesMonitor costs, maintenance contracts, and supplier performance, supporting the Director of Engineering and Engineering DepartmentPosition Details Job Level: 2° CCNL Turismo-FederalberghiEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary Range: € ****** - € ****** gross per year / 14 monthsRequirements and QualificationsTechnical diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building, or related fields)Solid experience (minimum 5–7 years) in similar roles, preferably in luxury hospitality or complex environmentsFluent EnglishFlexibility to work shifts and weekendsProven experience managing structured technical teamsStrong knowledge of hotel systems and maintenance operationsFamiliarity with preventive maintenance software and Building Management Systems (BMS)Knowledge of Italian safety and fire regulationsStrong leadership with a service-oriented approachExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to work in high-pressure environments with demanding standards
