ph3THE POSITION /h3 pFor Boehringer Ingelheim Italy, we are looking for a Distribution Manager who will be responsible for managing the distribution processes of finished products in the Italian market, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery to customers. /p h3THE POSITION /h3 pFor Boehringer Ingelheim Italy, we are looking for a Distribution Manager who will be responsible for managing the distribution processes of finished products in the Italian market, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery to customers. /p pThe successful candidate will coordinate logistics activities in collaboration with the external logistics provider, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP), company procedures, and agreed service levels. /p h3Tasks Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage distribution processes in Italy, ensuring proper storage and timely delivery of finished products to customers. /li liEnsure compliance with Good Distribution Practices, local procedures, and corporate guidelines. /li liMonitor transportation and warehouse performance, identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives. /li liCoordinate returns management and logistics activities related to product recalls. /li liEnsure effective monitoring and management of outbound logistics complaints. /li liEnsure proper product traceability data flow to the Ministry of Health, including coordination of activities entrusted to the logistics provider. /li liSupport the definition of expected service levels and contractual terms with the logistics provider. /li liRegularly monitor logistics provider performance through KPIs and service level agreements. /li liPropose and implement innovative solutions to enhance service quality while optimizing costs and resources. /li liDevelop and maintain local operating procedures within the area of responsibility. /li liSupport local Export Control activities and collaborate with the Local Export Control Officer in monitoring customers and suppliers against sanction lists. /li liRepresent Boehringer Ingelheim in Dafne working groups related to warehousing and distribution.



/li liSupport local and global logistics and distribution projects and initiatives for both Human Pharma and Animal Health businesses. /li liManage the distribution budget, including storage, outbound logistics, and logistics provider service costs. /li liAnalyze and monitor direct, indirect, and overall logistics costs, assessing their impact on net sales. /li liCoordinate product destruction activities at the warehouse in accordance with local procedures. /li liCollaborate with the Security Manager to investigate product losses and thefts. /li liLead, develop, and train the team, fostering motivation, technical expertise, effectiveness, and efficiency. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, analytical, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. /li liProven experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or another regulated environment. /li liAt least 3 years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams. /li liStrong knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and applicable pharmaceutical distribution regulations. /li liProven experience managing third-party logistics providers, including monitoring service levels and performance indicators. /li liAbility to manage budgets, logistics costs, and continuous improvement initiatives. /li liStrong project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across local and global teams. /li liExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. /li liCustomer-focused mindset, strong quality orientation, and the ability to make sound decisions in complex environments. /li liStrong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and guide teams. High level of accuracy, accountability, and commitment to compliance and established procedures.
