About the Role
Our client is a global manufacturing business seeking an experiencedElectrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technicianto join their maintenance team at their facility in Cadorago, Italy.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining highly automated production and packaging equipment, ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced maintenance technician who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and electromechanical faults.
Support the maintenance and reliability of automated production and packaging machinery.
Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Assist with equipment modifications, installations and commissioning activities.
Work closely with production teams to ensure efficient machine performance.
Liaise with external contractors and equipment suppliers when required.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and accurately in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the sites maintenance management systems.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
A recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent technical apprenticeship).
A minimum of 3 years experience within an industrial maintenance environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience maintaining automated manufacturing or production equipment.
Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems (fault finding experience is highly desirable).
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
A commitment to safe working practices within a manufacturing environment.
Language Requirements
Fluent spoken and written Italian is essential.
English language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

Slitting or rewinding
Packaging

Automated manufacturing
