As Senior ART & Parametrics Underwriter, you will lead global analysis, validation, and structuring of ART & Parametrics solutions within GC&C.; You translate climate and natural hazard data into robust parametric structures, ensuring technical excellence, pricing discipline, and scalable portfolios. You will shape innovative parametric products for corporate and public sector clients while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance GC&C;’s ART & Parametrics business. This role offers high-impact engagement with clients, data science, and capital solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead advanced catastrophe modelling analyses (earthquake, windstorm, flood, wildfire) to inform underwriting decisions
Validate and enhance hazard data, event sets, and pricing models for robustness
Translate model outputs into effective parametric triggers (indices, thresholds, payout curves)
Assess basis risk and exposure aggregation to ensure sound underwriting
Drive continuous improvement in modelling approaches, data sources, and analytics frameworks
Design and structure bespoke parametric solutions aligned with client exposures and resilience goals
Ensure alignment between risk analysis, pricing, and product design within ART & Parametrics
Integrate parametric solutions within broader ART and capital solutions structures
Support origination and business development by presenting parametric offerings in strategic dialogues
Lead technical discussions and workshops with clients and partners
Contribute to new parametric product development, perils, and geographies
Collaborate with data scientists, actuaries, and IT on analytics, automation, and platform development
Lead complex projects from analysis to execution and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders
Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building
Monitor ILS market developments to enhance structuring capabilities
Qualifications
Degree in a quantitative discipline
7 - 10 years of catastrophe modelling and nat cat risk analytics experience
Ability to translate technical outputs into commercial solutions
Experience in international xysqume and cross-functional environments
Fluency in English; other languages a plus
Willingness to travel internationally
Solid expertise in catastrophe modelling and hazard modelling
Event set analysis and loss modelling
Exposure and accumulation analysis
Experience with catastrophe modelling tools or custom modelling frameworks
Quantitative skills in statistics and risk modelling
Programming skills (Python, R)
Strong client-facing communication and project leadership abilities
