We’re Hiring an Operations Team Lead
At Atlantic Gate, we are a medium-sized, globally active freight forwarding company with a strong focus on sea freight. Our Genoa office is home to a small, ambitious, and fast-growing team with a clear goal: to become a leading player in the industry.
To support our exciting growth journey, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Team Lead to join our team.
Your Impact
In this role, you will take ownership of our sea freight operations, lead a small team while actively contributing to daily business. You will play a key role in shaping processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Sea Freight department
- Work closely with your team and actively handle import/export shipments
- Challenge and improve current ways of working to enhance efficiency
- Ensure full compliance with internal procedures (OPS) and external regulations
- Monitor and optimize operational costs while maintaining competitive service levels
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents,
and service providers
- Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
- Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively
What You Bring
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3+ year experience in freight forwarding (sea freight required)
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead by example
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to support operations when needed
- Additional certifications (FIATA, customs, Lean/Six Sigma) are a plus
