Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ( ). We are currently looking for a Field Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Toronto, Canada (on-site position) .
- Estimated duration of the position: 2 years. When the project ends, we aim to place the employee in other projects to ensure continuity.
- Summary: This role demands a versatile professional capable of performing effectively across varied project environments. It offers an opportunity to contribute to major civil projects by ensuring precise survey data collection and analysis. Adaptability, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach are essential.
- Assist Senior Surveyors as needed, especially during high workload periods.
- Execute survey requests outside specific station areas as directed.
- Fulfill survey department requirements including data acquisition and stakeouts related to the project network.
- Coordinate with the Digital Delivery department, supporting drone flights and other needs.
- Continuously improve surveying knowledge and skills.
- Mentor and support Survey Assistants in their professional development.
- Propose and implement measures to enhance survey section efficiency and effectiveness.
- Handle company materials responsibly and according to safety protocols.
- Assist in establishing, measuring, and maintaining the Survey Network as needed.
- Collaborate with and support other surveyors to meet project objectives.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Surveyor in tunnel, rail, subway, linear works, heavy civil construction projects, or similar.
- Proficiency with survey equipment such as Laser Scanners, Total Stations, GNSS receivers, and Digital Levels. Leica preferred.
- Additional skills in hardware and software technological solutions are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of design software like Civil 3D and Point Cloud software is advantageous.
- Highly adaptable to changing scenarios.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, based on project demands.
- Handling and payment of Canadian Work Visa.
