The Role

We are looking for an Accountant to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial records. The role requires strong knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC) and a working understanding of IFRS, with responsibility for statutory accounting, tax compliance, and the preparation of annual financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and follow daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.

- Ensure all accounting entries are accurately posted and properly documented in accordance with Italian accounting standards (OIC)



and local regulations.

- Oversee and execute the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring reconciliations and adjustments are completed within deadlines.

- Validate general ledger accounts and maintain up‑to‑date and correct balances.

- Prepare and file tax declarations, working closely with external advisors when necessary.

- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including depreciation calculations and asset tracking.

- Support statutory audits and act as point of contact for auditors and external consultants.

- Monitor changes in accounting and tax legislation and update internal procedures accordingly.

- Guarantee internal deadlines are met and that reporting standards are adhered to.

Your profile

-

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Strong expertise in Italian statutory accounting and familiarity with IFRS principles.

- At least 2 years of experience in accounting within the hospitality industry.

- In‑depth knowledge of OIC accounting standards and Italian tax legislation.

- Solid experience with ERP/accounting software.

- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

- Detail‑oriented, with excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.

- Fluency in Italian and good working knowledge of English.

- Ability to manage priorities and ensure accuracy under pressure.

- Professional demeanor, discretion, and high integrity in handling financial information.
