Description
Hoya Lens Italia is looking for a Branch Manager who will ensure the operational, organizational, and strategic management of the Putignano (BA) branch, coordinating the activities of Customer Service and the lens assembly laboratory, while guaranteeing high standards of service, quality, operational efficiency, and support to the sales network.
This role will act as the main local point of reference for coordinating internal activities and interfacing with Milano Office, contributing to the achievement of company objectives through leadership, analytical skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch
- Coordinate and supervise the Customer Service team
- Manage the lens assembly laboratory and production activities
- Monitor workflows, priorities, and operational performance
- Optimize internal processes and turnaround times
- Handle operational urgencies and resolve critical issues
Customer Service
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Support the team in managing complex customer requests
- Handle escalations and sensitive client situations
- Collaborate with opticians and optometrists to deliver effective solutions
- Perform technical and operational troubleshooting
Technical Support
- Provide first-level technical support on ophthalmic products and processes
- Work closely with technical and quality departments to resolve issues
- Monitor technical complaints and corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-functional collaboration
- Partner with Area Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers
- Support the sales team in managing key and strategic clients
- Ensure operational alignment with local market needs
- Contribute to business development and customer retention activities
Collaboration with central functions
- Act as the main point of contact with Milan central functions
- Share KPIs, reports, and operational updates
- Ensure the implementation of company guidelines and procedures
- Cooperate on corporate projects and initiatives
Reporting
- Prepare operational statistics and performance analyses
- Monitor service, productivity, and quality KPIs
- Produce periodic reports for management review
- Identify improvement areas and propose corrective and innovative actions
People Management
- Provide guidance and performance management to team members
- Foster a culture of collaboration and results-driven work environment
- Support technical and operational training
- Manage workforce planning, shift organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Fluent Italian
- Degree in Optometry or High School in Optics
- Proven experience in team management preferably in the optical/ophthalmic retail or in optical industries
- Background and strong understanding in customer service/support
- Customer-focused approach with a continuous improvement approach
