The General Accountant is responsible for the operational and administrative management of the company’s accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with fiscal and civil regulations, and support during periodic financial closings.
Main Responsibilities
- Recording of daily accounting transactions, including:
- accounts payable cycle
- strong ability in general ledger accounting
- solid management of payroll and personnel accounting
- Manage VAT compliance obligations (VAT register checks, VAT declaration, VAT communications (LIPE), stamp duties on electronic invoices)
- Virtual stamp duty management.
- Printing of mandatory accounting books
- Archive and maintain accounting documentation in compliance with applicable regulations
- Support internal and external auditors.
- Management of Intercompany accounts payables (liaising with foreign colleagues;
posting invoices and related self-invoices)
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor profit & loss accounts.
- Management of adjusting entries and support in the preparation of the statutory financial statements
- Involvement in the preparation of the notes to the statutory financial statement
- Managerial reporting: month end activities and periodic accounting booking and management.
- Collaborate with other company functions (purchasing office, logistics, management control).
RequirementsEducation
High school diploma in Accounting or a University degree in Economics or related fields.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in structured companies or professional accounting firms.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and Italian civil and fiscal regulations.
- Experience with accounting software (SAP preferably or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent English written and spoken
Soft Skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under deadlines and in team environments.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills able to independently identify, analyze, and resolve issues by driving investigations to completion.

Employment Details
- Full-time
- Employment level according to Industry/Metalworking national collective labor agreement (CCNL).
- Reports to the Accounting Manager.
The compensation for the job position at issue ranges from EUR 33,500 to EUR 45,000 gross per year. This refers to the base compensation and all amounts and benefits paid directly or indirectly, including in kind, in connection with the employment relationship, including any supplementary or variable components.
