Junior HR Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

A prestigious international company is looking for a Junior HR Business Partner to join its Human Resources team in Florence on a maternity cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to further develop their career within a dynamic, international and fast-paced environment. Working closely with managers and employees, you will contribute to delivering key HR initiatives while supporting the business and promoting a positive employee experience.

The role

As part of the Human Resources team, you will partner with managers, employees and key stakeholders to support the business throughout the employee lifecycle.

You will contribute to the delivery of HR processes, projects and organisational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the overall People Strategy. Acting as a trusted HR partner, you will provide day-to-day support to managers and employees while helping to drive people-related initiatives across the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

- Supporting the effective management of all employee lifecycle activities, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Managing the onboarding process for new joiners, helping them integrate into the organisation and settle successfully into their roles.
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with the HR budget, annual performance review and salary review processes.
- Contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and people initiatives.
- Acting as a first point of contact for employees and line managers,



providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and day-to-day people matters.
- Monitoring HR data, preparing reports and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure HR initiatives are delivered effectively and aligned with business priorities.

Requirements

- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
- Previous experience in HR (e.g. HR Generalist, HR Assistant, Junior HR Business Partner or similar roles) within structured organisations.
- Basic knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, with a strong interest in developing further in an HR Business Partner role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset, flexibility and willingness to learn, with good organisational skills and confidence in working with HR data and reporting.
- Fluent in Italian and English and good knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors would be considered an advantage.

Temporary employment contract

Gross annual salary range: €32,000–36,000, depending on experience and profile
