Experteer Overview

In this role you will blend Postgres database consulting with modern data engineering to support EMEA customers. You will assess deployments, run migrations, and design HA/DR, performance, and security solutions that enable reliable data and analytics workloads. You will work hands‑on with customers to upgrade systems, implement data pipelines, and embed AI/ML capabilities into Postgres-based ecosystems. This is a customer‑facing, technically hands‑on opportunity to shape large‑scale data and analytics transformations at enterprise scale.

Retribuzione / Benefits

- Assess customer Postgres deployments and document runbooks
- Migrate databases from Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL to PostgreSQL including schema and data
- Design and test High Availability architectures using EFM/Patroni/PGD
- Tune performance and optimize OS/database configurations
- Implement backup/recovery, upgrades, and patching
- Evaluate security requirements and advise on authentication, encryption, access control
- Assist in upgrading applications to latest Postgres features
- Develop Professional Services proposals and contribute to pre‑sales
- Build scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms from inception to deployment
- Configure underlying data infrastructure (storage, compute,



cloud data warehouses) and tune performance
- Develop analytics dashboards and BI/reporting mechanisms
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities, LLMs, RAG pipelines into data ecosystems
- Ensure data quality, governance, security and performance across deliverables

Responsabilità
- 2–5 years for Consultant level or 5–8+ years DBA/data engineering for Senior Consultant
- PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, HA/replication
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server migrations
- Strong SQL and database design knowledge
- Linux system administration xysqume and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Hands‑on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern data tools (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt)
- Proficiency in Python or Scala and advanced SQL
- Experience building batch/real‑time data pipelines
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling (Star/Snowflake)
- Experience with data science libraries and deploying AI/ML models
- Excellent English communication; second European language a plus (Italian preferred)
