In both the Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems business units, our team strives to Improve the Way the World Works. /p pLearn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward! /p h3Position Summary /h3 pIndirect Capex buyer /p h3Main responsibility /h3 ul liImplements the activities associated with the managed local spend for designated commodity categories /li liResponsible for identification and evaluation of opportunities within the commodity categories managed for reduction of spend, consolidation of supply base, function and continuity of supply /li liDeliver continuous improvement in cost, process and services within the commodity categories /li liManage requests for quotation, negotiations, selection and supplier development processes /li liManage order editing according to company needs and policies /li liDraft contracts and understands the legal requirements of contract formulation. /li liTimely reporting (activity status reports, financial results etc.) within the organization /li liAdvising plants on market trends,



risks and opportunities /li /ul h3Main opportunities and challenges /h3 pTake the lead on cross plants commodities or on local organization /p h3Job position requirements /h3 h3Education: /h3 pUniversity bachelor degree /p pEngineer, Economics or equivalent /p h3Professional background /h3 ul liSeveral years successful track record in purchasing and supply chain management /li liDegree or equivalent experience /li liAble to manage team-working /li /ul h3Hard skills /h3 pEssential: /p ul liFamiliar with key cost drivers and industry related events tied to assigned category (Indirect Spend + Capex). /li liMinimum bi-lingual with fluent English language skills. A third language will be valuable also. /li libSourcing and Category Planning: /bConducts purchasing portfolio analysis, understands positioning of key suppliers and develops appropriate sourcing strategies /li libSupplier Negotiation /bHas an established track record and uses a range of tools, (competitive tendering etc.). Is able to quickly analyse supply market data and use this to advantage in the negotiation process. /li libBenchmarking: /bHas a positive approach to new ideas generated from working with other departments and business. /li libRequests for Quotation (RFQ)



and Agreeing Contracts /bDevelops specifications and manages wide range of structured tendering/bid processes. Demonstrates how to construct/manage complex contracts, performance indicators and service levels /li libPurchasing Process Improvement /bAnalyses process in supply chain to ensure optimum workflows and takes active steps to remove non-value added work.
