YellowSquare is a hub where travelers and locals connect, exchange ideas, and build meaningful experiences. We operate in Rome, Milan, Athens, and Florence, redefining hospitality by making it immersive, social, and unforgettable.

For our established and vibrant location in Milan, we are looking for a General Manager to support operations, lead the team, and maintain the high standards of performance and guest engagement that define our brand.

Key Responsibilities

What We Offer

- Salary package: €40,000 - €45,000 gross (commensurate with experience).

Who We Are Looking For

We need a proactive leader with a solid understanding of the hospitality industry—someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, loves challenges, and is ready to embrace long‑term professional growth.

- Hospitality professional with a solid background and proven experience in key managerial roles such as General Manager or Operations Manager.

- Growth mindset: Eager to step up, take full accountability for the venue’s results, and aspire to take on greater responsibilities within our growing network.

- Travel flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel across our different Squares up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months for onboarding, training,



and cross-location alignment.

- Strong leadership skills, with experience overseeing large, diverse teams.

- Fluent in Italian and English (any other language is a plus).

- A problem solver with a hands‑on approach—a manager who makes things happen.

- Tech‑savvy mindset—comfortable with digital tools, software, and IT systems to efficiently manage operations.

- A hostel/hybrid hospitality veteran or enthusiast.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Operational Excellence: Oversee and coordinate all Square teams—Kitchen, Bar/Reception, and Maintenance—to ensure smooth daily operations and an outstanding experience for both guests and staff.

- Headquarters Alignment: Collaborate closely with the YellowSquare corporate office in Rome and all central departments (People, Finance, Creative, Innovation, and Vision) to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

- Team Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for employees—support, guide, and motivate your team while fostering an inclusive, safe, and dynamic work environment.

- Performance & Innovation: Implement strategic approaches to optimize overall performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.

- Crisis Management: Handle critical situations calmly and effectively, managing difficult guest scenarios, resolving internal conflicts, or responding to unexpected emergencies.

- Local Compliance: Ensure the Square operates smoothly and in full compliance with Italian regulations and local operational requirements.
