Role Title: Site Manager | Utility-Scale Solar Location: Abruzzo
Piper Maddox are supporting an Italian IPP based in Rome who are searching for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the on-site delivery of multiple utility-scale solar projects.
With a strong pipeline of 250MW planned for 2026 and backing from one of the world's largest infrastructure investment funds, this organisation is continuing to scale its in-house EPC capabilities.
Following the successful delivery of 100MW over the past 12 months, they are now looking for a hands-on Site Manager with strong medium voltage (MV) experience to coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple utility-scale solar PV projects, with a focus on medium voltage (MV) works
Coordinate and manage subcontractors across electrical and civil scopes, ensuring efficient execution
Supervise MV installation including cabling, substations, inverters, and grid connection activities
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality expectations
Maintain strict adherence to HSE regulations and site compliance standards
Act as the main on-site point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders
Monitor site progress, resolve technical and logistical issues, and provide regular reporting to project management
Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth handover of completed projects
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in site management within utility-scale solar PV projects
Strong experience with medium voltage (MV) infrastructure and grid connection works
Proven background in EPC construction environments with strong on-site delivery experience
Ability to manage multiple sites or complex project scopes simultaneously
Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills
Degree in Engineering or relevant technical background preferred
Fluent in Italian and English
