(R) Vehicle Motion Component Development Project Engineer

Specialista Senior / Project Manager

In this role you will drive the development of Vehicle Motion components within the PEP framework, coordinating budgets, timing, requirements, and validation plans. You’ll lead cross‑functional teams to achieve targets in quality, cost, and performance, while ensuring alignment with company standards and roadmap. The position offers exposure to high‑level engine projects and hands‑on lifecycle management in a premier automotive setting. You will collaborate closely with the Vehicle Motion & Energy Management leadership to shape component development at scale.

- Coordinate Vehicle Motion/Powertrain component development across the product lifecycle
- Lead cross‑functional teams to meet quality, cost, timing and performance targets
- Manage Product Development Process (PEP) activities and track milestones
- Monitor timing, engineering releases and component delivery plans
- Define and track system budgets, investments, and weight/cost targets
- Plan validation activities including FMEA, DVP,



bench and vehicle tests
- Allocate resources across multiple projects and vehicle programs
- Drive issue resolution and change management to close technical concerns
- Oversee BOM management, cost optimization, and support vehicle build
- Prepare project status reports and present updates to management and stakeholders
- Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
- 4–5 years of automotive OEM experience
- Project management experience in high‑performance teams
- Excellent knowledge of Office tools
- MATLAB knowledge considered a plus
- Experience in engine component development from concept to production (design, test, production)
- Experience leading multiple large engine projects with multi‑million euro budgets
- Systems design and development knowledge
- Experience in component release management and problem solving
- Fluent English; Italian and German helpful
