Refers children and their parents to community agencies and professionals as appropriate. /p h3Essential Functions /h3 ul liPerforms speech screenings for children ages 2.5 -5.11 years /li liAssists in the coordination of Child Find and referral process /li liWorks with community agencies to provide services/programs to meet needs of children inside/outside of the school environment /li liCooperates with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional, and physical needs of children /li liCompiles data and prepares various reports and records required by the school, district, and/or other agencies /li /ul h3Additional Duties /h3 pPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Director of School Readiness, Chief Instructional Services Officer, Superintendent, or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent. /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or Speech Education /li liMust hold or be eligible to hold a professional teaching certificate in the area of Speech Correction from the South Carolina Department of Education /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liPrior tutorial experience preferred /li liKnowledge and understanding of children /li liAbility to work with others /li liWillingness to follow directions /li liAbility to handle unforeseen situations in accordance with Board Policy /li liAbility to accept individual differences among children /li liGood written and verbal communication skills /li liDetail-oriented /li /ul h3Physical Demands /h3 pReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities and functions of the job.
