Job Summary We are seeking an Expert Mechanical Engineer for the Milan site, to be involved in major projects in the field of sustainable mobility technologies . As an Expert Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in multidisciplinary innovation projects. You will report to the Head of Technology for the organization of your job and your technical and professional growth and to the Chief of Tech for the progress of your work on the different projects.
Main Areas of Activities Collect and document technical requirements and perform effort estimates
Modeling and validation of parts, components, assemblies and complete products in 3‐D CAD System based on requirements
Mechanical dimensioning and estimate mechanical performance of components
Scout and identify OTS components and tools and interact with external suppliers
Rapid prototyping supplier management and apply small mechanical adjustments to parts
Support in industrialization and transfer to manufacturing activities




Required Background and Technical Skills Proven working and practical knowledge of mechanical dimensioning methods and techniques and how they apply and impact on a finished product's features and performance
Good manual skills and knowledge of the main mechanical workshop tools
Good knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes of mechanical parts
Knowledge of design for manufacturing methods (TRIZ, QFD)
Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes of plastic parts (Injection Moulding, Termoforming, Blow Moulding, design of moulds, etc.) is a plus
Tools Very good knowledge of 3‐D CAD Software with full operational independence (Solidworks Premium and Solidworks Simulation is a strong plus)
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
