Investment Manager, Italian Private Equity Fund
About the Opportunity
Our client is an established Italian Private Equity fund focused on lower mid-market investments across a broad range of sectors. The firm has built a strong track record of partnering with entrepreneurial businesses to accelerate growth through operational value creation, strategic development and buy-and-build initiatives.
To support its continued investment activity, the fund is looking to appoint an Investment Manager to join its Milan-based investment team.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be actively involved throughout the entire investment lifecycle, including:
- Origination and evaluation of new investment opportunities;
- Financial analysis, valuation and LBO modelling;
- Commercial, financial and legal due diligence coordination;
- Preparation of Investment Committee materials;
- Negotiation andexecution of acquisitions alongside senior partners;
- Active portfolio monitoring and value creation initiatives;
- Board preparation and interaction with portfolio company management teams;
- Exit planning and execution.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Approximately 7–10 years of professional experience;
- Previous direct investing experience within a Private Equity fund is mandatory;
- Strong track record across the full investment cycle, from execution to portfolio management;
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities;
- Strong analytical skills combined with sound commercial judgement;
- Ability to operate autonomously while working effectively within a lean investment team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Fluency in bothItalian and English.
Mandatory Requirement Only candidates currently working, or having previously worked, in a Private Equity investment role will be considered. Applications from professionals with an exclusive background in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Consulting or other adjacent advisory environments will not be taken into consideration.
Preferred Profile The search is primarily targeted at professionals born approximately between 1993 and 1996, who have already developed meaningful direct investment experience and are ready to take on broader execution and portfolio management responsibilities within an entrepreneurial investment platform.

Salary: up to 80.000€
