Offer Description
Coordination of antimicrobial agents with bioactive metal ions such as Zn(II), Cu(II), and Ag(I). Both solution and mechanochemical synthetic methods will be employed, and the resulting materials will be fully characterised in the solid state by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis,
and spectroscopic techniques. In details:
Design of experiments via the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD).
Synthesis of co-crystals and metal complexes of antibiotics via mechanochemical methods, slurry, and solution synthesis. Analysis of the materials thus obtained by X-ray diffraction.
Structural determination via single crystal X-ray or powder X-ray diffraction.
Physicochemical characterisation by thermal analysis (DSC, TGA) and spectroscopic techniques (IR, UV-Vis).
Integration of the most promising materials into biocompatible composite matrices. xysqume
Collection, processing, and interpretation of experimental data.
