About the role As a Service Engineer in the mechanical
support/assembly team at Midsummer, you will be responsible for the
installation and maintenance of the equipment for production of
solar cells. You will be part of a small team that works closely
together, to find solutions to small and large problems and
challenges in our production of solar panels. Main tasks of the
role Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults Perform preventive and
corrective mechanical maintenance on machines Replace or repair
defective mechanical components Support mechanical checks during
commissioning Document mechanical issues, interventions, and
resolutions This is you To feel comfortable in this role at
Midsummer, you need to appreciate having your own responsibility
and at the same time working in a team that supports each other.
You like fast pace and are not afraid to make decisions when
necessary. You have very good communication skills and collaborate
easily with people from all kinds of industries and backgrounds.
Furthermore, you are quality-oriented and structured, but at the
same time can adapt to an organization that is growing where all
routines are not yet established. Required qualifications Degree in
Mechanical Engineering or another a technical or relevant
engineering field. Experience working with vacuum equipment
Knowledge of systematic machine maintenance Willingness and ability
to travel for work Fluency in spoken and written English Have
forklift drivers licence About Midsummer Midsummer is a Swedish
solar energy company that develops and manufactures lightweight,
flexible solar cells with a carbon footprint 90% lower than that of
traditional solar panels. The production facilities are located in
Järfälla, Sweden and in Bari, where it also has a research and
development centre. Midsummer Italia’s production capacity is 50
MW/year. Additionally, under the Midsummer Machinery brand, we
provide production systems for flexible thin-film solar
