The opportunity

A fast-growing AI deployment business, headquartered in Milan, is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to sit at the front of client delivery.

The model is deliberately unlike the large consultancies. Small, exceptional teams sell a transformation, run the discovery and bootcamp phase, then stay to build and deploy end to end on the platform.

Clients are traditional European businesses, at the point where they're serious about AI and data but need someone who can operate credibly in both the boardroom and the codebase. Alongside the core Palantir practice sits a second pillar applying the same methodology on non-Palantir stacks for smaller companies.

The team is growing quickly and the people joining now will define how delivery works as it scales.

This is a Milan-based role and the expectation is a full relocation. For the right person that's the appeal rather than the obstacle: you'll be in the room with the founders and with clients from day one.

What you'll be doing

- Working directly with client stakeholders, from discovery and bootcamp through to production delivery.
- Building data pipelines, ontologies and operational applications end to end. You own the problem, not a ticket.
- Translating messy operational reality into working software, often with no specification to start from.




- Deploying AI and LLM-driven workflows where they genuinely change how a business operates.
- Holding your own in front of senior client stakeholders: scoping, pushing back, setting honest expectations.
- Helping establish the delivery standards and ways of working for a team that's about to multiply in size.

What we're looking for

Essential

- Strong engineering fundamentals, with Python and SQL as a baseline.
- Hands-on production experience with Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology, and application layers such as Workshop)
- Genuine client facing capability, or a clear appetite for it. This role is not behind a wall.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias towards shipping.
- Willingness and eligibility to relocate to Milan permanently.
- Fluent English.

Desirable

- Ex-Palantir. This is the profile that fits best, and the bar is set accordingly.
- Experience delivering Foundry or AIP within a Palantir partner or consultancy.
- The "consultant who can actually build" combination. Structured problem-solving alongside real engineering depth.
