- RINA is currently recruiting for a **R&D; Project Manager** to join its office in Genoa or Rome within the Management Consulting Division. **Mission** As an R&D; Project Manager working on European-funded Research and Development (R&D;) projects, your primary role is to oversee the proposal and project management of projects supported by European funding, from proposal writing to project execution and completion. In the proposal stage, you will lead and coordinate the proposal writing tasks ensuring alignment with funding requirements and strategic priorities. In the execution phase, you will be responsible for project implementation, ensuring adherence to the budget, timeline constraints, and grant obligations, while maximizing impact and innovation. The **_considered proposals and projects will typically focus on green transition_** in many sectors including manufacturing industry, hard-to-abate industries, energy production, automotive, space, health, etc.. **Key Accountabilities**

- Collaborate with senior consultants and teams to conduct research and identify European funded R&D; opportunities in the engineering sector.
- Analyze project requirements, eligibility criteria, and funding structures to assess feasibility. 2. _Consortium Building Support_: - Support the identification and outreach to potential partners, including research institutions, industry players, and other stakeholders.
- Support the coordination of activities to establish project consortia that bring together complementary expertise. 3. _Proposal Development Assistance_:
- Work alongside senior consultants and partners to contribute to the development of project proposals for submission to European funding agencies.
- Ensure alignment with technical, financial, and regulatory requirements. 4. _Project Management_: - Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring alignment with scope, objectives, and funding requirements.
- Manage resources, budgets, and compliance, optimizing efficiency and financial control.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. 5. _Stakeholder Communication_: - Facilitate communication between the organization, consortium members, and relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to relationship-building efforts to enhance collaboration and project success. 6. _Compliance Oversight_: - Work with senior consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations related to European funding.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports for funding agencies and internal management, in coordination with the RINA R&D; Financial Manager. 7. Risk Mitigation Assistance: - Identify potential risks affecting R&D; projects and communicate them proactively.
- Support mitigation strategies and help address deviations in project budgets and timelines. **Education**
- Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering or Biomedical Engineering**Qualifications**
- Master in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering, Chemical engineering, Information engineering are preferable.
- PhD or 2+ years of experience in managing European and international R&D; projects and proposals. Experience in energy systems, renewable gases and biofuels production domains is preferred. **Competencies**
