Ably Resources is supporting a major international energy project with the appointment of an experienced Telecom Engineer to join its team in Milan, Italy.

This is a key engineering role supporting telecoms and communications scope across a complex offshore development. The successful candidate will be involved in design review, technical coordination, vendor package review, installation support, testing and commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing telecom engineering deliverables and technical documentation
- Supporting systems including PA/GA, CCTV, fibre optics, structured cabling, telephony and radio communications
- Coordinating telecom interfaces with other engineering disciplines
- Supporting installation, testing, integration and commissioning activities
- Working with contractors,
vendors and project stakeholders to maintain technical quality and delivery alignment
Candidate profile
- Degree-qualified in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in telecom engineering within oil & gas, offshore, EPC or major energy projects
- Strong experience with offshore or industrial telecom systems
- Experience reviewing vendor packages and engineering specifications
- FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning exposure is desirable
- Fluent written and spoken English
