Experteer Overview

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Vishay’s IC Design Team (Assago), you will lead hardware design for evaluation boards and system-level boards, bridging IC specs with practical HW implementations. You’ll collaborate across Design, Applications, and System Architecture to enable IC validation and customer evaluations, shaping hardware tools and validation platforms. You’ll work on high-current power stages and mixed-signal systems, driving practical solutions from schematic to production. This role offers visible impact on the roadmap and a chance to contribute to market-ready power products.

- Lead HW design for evaluation and system boards from schematic to layout guidelines and component selection
- Create schematics for evaluation boards tailored to FPGA, standalone, and other modes
- Perform bring-up, troubleshooting, and modifications on evaluation boards
- Translate IC specifications into HW design requirements for boards and interfaces
- Model PCB parameters via parasitic extraction for system-level simulations
- Create interface/adapter boards and communication dongles as needed




- Support customer schematic/PCB design with guidance and feedback
- Conduct bench validations on prototypes and report results to engineering teams
- Publish application notes and papers on PCB hardware design practices
- Assist with system-level validations on key programs

Responsabilità
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in large PCB or hardware design
- Experience in high-current multiphase power supply PCB layout
- Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium)
- Knowledge of power xysqume electronics (DC-DC, multiphase, VRMs, POLs) and high-speed digital or mixed-signal systems
- Understanding of power conversion topologies (buck, buck-boost, boost, PMIC, VR)
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and communicate solutions clearly
- Experience validating prototypes and bringing them to production
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
